The End of Summer

The end of my summer vacation is drawing closer and closer to an end. I’ll be back in graduate school come August 27th and though I am looking forward to it; I will miss my time off. I don’t like to make excuses, but I’m totally using the fact that my freedom is going to be taken away from me in a couple of weeks as to why I haven’t been sticking to my schedule.  I’ve been trying to spend as much time with my family as of late as I can because I know with working as a Graduate Assistant (GA) all day and going to school all night followed by a forty-five minute drive home, I generally only really see them on the weekend. So, I hope that you all understand that I’m just trying to get in all the time with them that I can before being whisked away back to school. I am going to make a conscious effort to get back on my schedule for blogging so I’m not leaving you all hanging. I’ve been reading some really good books lately that I cannot wait to share with you. So, stay tuned!

    • Thank you for stopping by, Raquel. I wish I had just one more month of summer to relax and do nothing, haha. I agree education is very important and should never end.

    • Hi Yeremi,

Thank you for stopping by. You’ve absolutely right, this too shall pass. In the end, it’s all for the best and I’m sure I’ll get some sort of reward from sticking with it.

      • I think school’s fun, Felicia, I’d rather school & find vacation just a wee bit borin when its draggin out too long, like for us, for instance, we’ve got to be on strike, hence why ours’ been prolongued since forevar….. its gotten a tiny wee bit dull… since its lasted forever since mid-April or March so yeah…& wherefore not? Dont chat like it? Being with friends & etc

  2. I know the feeling, when I was in school, it’s like I was being cheated out of my family time. It’s because we really love to spend more time with them but sometimes circumstances just wouldn’t allow it. Glad you’re trying to get the most of your summer time with your loved ones.

    • It certainly does feel that way sometimes, Amy. I would love to spend all of my time with my family, but it’s just not possible. I’ve been enjoying my last few weeks though, so it’s been nice. Thank you for stopping by! :)
