Snow in July?
Have you ever heard of snow falling in July? Maybe in the really cold regions of the world, but not here in the USA, at least that I know of. However, I’ve accomplished something that I never thought I would accomplish and therefore, it will snow. You all remember reading my ‘Not in 2012’ post don’t you? If not, let me jog your memory a bit. This post consisted of a list of things that happened back in 2011 that I did NOT want to repeat in 2012. On my last update ‘Looking Back at Not in 2012’ I had managed to accomplish avoiding and improving on some of the things that I had listed; however, there were many I had not. I want to take a moment to look at one item in particular: #5 Procrastinate Much?
This week I have had the pleasure of having to take my first summer course. I’m now three days in (only two to go, woo-hoo!) and so far everything is going really well. There is one problem, however, especially for a procrastinator like me—we have an assignment due every day of class. That means the Procrastinating Queen has a choice: do the assignment the night before or wake up early to do the work in the morning.
Day one, I did half of the assignment the night before and the rest of the assignment the morning before I had to leave. That was a bit of an improvement for me, right? I split it up so I did not have to rush to do everything in the morning, I think that’s progress! But this evening, well yesterday evening by the time you read this, I did the unthinkable. I broke my bad habit and I actually completed my homework assignment before my head hit the pillow. The question is, of course, can I keep it up? If I can, you can expect to see some snow, wherever you may be.

Way to go actually completing your assignment once at least.I am terrible at procrastinating too.
Thanks for stopping by for my SITS day!

I’m feeling a lot better finding out that there are more procrastinators out there and I’m not a horrible person for doing it, haha. Today’s my last day and I’ve been doing well with keeping up with everything despite how much I want to put it off.
Thanks for stopping by, Kassie! You have a great blog!
Nop, don’t feel like the only one here… as I do as well… & do it soo much.. so yeah, you’re def not the only one in this boat nor in this situation. Nor should you feel alone in this. I’ve been in these shoes too so yeah. But I do commiserate or sympathize with you on this. Because completely, I do this as well. & quite oft. & always putting off things & etc.
That’s great for you! Congratulations! I hope you’re able to keep it up!

Thanks for stopping by, Shirley! I’ve been doing well with not procrastinating and my fingers are crossed that I keep it up.
Procrastination is by strongest trait.
I know, right? At least we’re not alone on this!
Good on you to finish off your assignment, or “homework”. But what was it on about? I know its tough & rough to not “procrastinate”, as I’m a big procrastinator myself. But you must resist the temptation to, just a heads up eh? Will or would you agree with me on this? As weird as it may seem to you, we also get snowed in the summer sometimes, so its not that abnormal or unusual.
It was an assignment on ethics, but I’ll spare you the boring details of it. Either way, yes, it’s better not to procrastinate, but people, like myself, still do it and still manage to get by. And like I said, snow in July is not common here in the USA (also note that I did not say that it does not happen); I don’t know where you’re from, so I can’t speak to whether it not it snows there.
Well I do too, & delay things or postpone things off so yeah or even cancel things off so yeah, I think its a very wrong thing to do eh?
I’m a big procrastinator as well. I’ll put things off till the day it’s due just like you, has me really worried about how I’ll do in college.
Apparently being a procrastinator is very common, lol. I was actually talking to my classmates about procrastinating today and pretty much all of us have been putting off one of the assignments that is due. Honestly, I think I became an even bigger procrastinator when I entered college, but I would suggest not following in my footsteps, lol.
Theres another one on board eh. I like being one too, although I always put ahead my duties & plan out or chalk out my responsibilities. So yeah… prioritize my duties thats all I need to improve about.
