Looking Back at Not in 2012

Today is June first, which means that the year is already half over.  Many of you probably remember that at the beginning of this year I came up with a list of 10 items that I did not want to do in 2012.  I thought that since the year is half way over, it was time to look back and check out my progress thus far with my list of things I had decided not to do.   Let’s see how well I’ve been doing with my list: Continue reading

Harassment at My Front Door

I never thought that I would be writing about being harassed and bullied—especially after writing the various articles I have for the past few weeks on bullying.  It just goes to show that it can happen to anyone.  Instead of holding it all in, which is something I would never suggest doing, I’m going to tell you all about what’s happened and how I’ve decided to handle it.  Hopefully you all will be able to learn from my experiences. Happy Memorial Day!

I wanted to take the time to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day!  I hope that it’s full of family cookouts, BBQs, swimming, and overall a lot of fun.  Remember to take a moment to remember all of those who have fought for our safety and freedom.  People like my father who was once a Marine and fought in the Vietnam War.  He did a lot for me and a lot for other people, so I’m glad that there a day dedicated to him and all of the other troops.  Remember them and remember that it’s because of them that you can live life to its fullest.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Let’s Chat!

What are your plans for today?  Any picnics or special events you have planned?

50 Teeth

You may be wondering where I got off to considering I generally post on Fridays about one thing or another.  Well, here’s what happened.  On Thursday morning I had three of my wisdom teeth removed, which caused excruciating pain.  The medication they put me on made me extremely drowsy and not entirely with it, so I decided it would probably be in everyone’s best interest that I not try to make a post that makes any logical sense.  But I’m back!  Still a bit sore, but here I am ready to give you a new post!  I apologize that this isn’t going to be super long considering my meds are starting to kick in which means I’m falling asleep at the computer…again…but I’ll do my best! The Smell That Wouldn’t Quit

Welp, today has been a very eventful day to say the least.  I was woken up at five o’clock this morning by my mother screaming for me to get up, that she needed my help.  My first thought was something horrible happened to her, but that wasn’t the case.  I really never thought that something like this would happen to my family and me, but it did.  I’m not saying it’s the worst thing that could ever happen because it’s not, but it still hasn’t been fun to deal with.
