Comment Policy

If you’re reading this, that means you want to leave a comment on Familial Ramblings!  What do I say to that?  YAY!  I absolutely love to get new comments on my blog because that means I get to hear the opinions of my readers and even start a discussion with them.  There are a few things that you should know, however, before you leave a comment on Familial Ramblings.  So, stick with me while we go over a couple of things.

Comment Form:  When leaving a comment you’ll find a form that needs to be filled out.  You must fill the form out with at a legitimate sounding name, otherwise I’m going to assume you’re a spammer, in which case I will delete your comment and I’ll probably put you on my spam list.

Email Address:  An email address is required to comment—be aware that these are not published on the blog and are not shared with anyone.

Privacy and Protection:  When leaving a comment, refrain from adding your email, physical address, phone number(s), and/or any other private and personal information to the comment.  These comments will be deleted in order to protect the privacy of the commenter.  For your own safety, you should never share this information within a blog comment.

Comment Conversations:  If a comment does not add to the conversation, has nothing to do with the post it’s commenting on, or kills the conversation, the comment may be edited, moved, or deleted.  I have comments open to encourage conversations with my readers because, as I said, I love to hear what others have to say on the subject at hand.

CommentLuv:  I added CommentLuv in order to give back to my readers for leaving awesome comments.  All of these links will be checked and if I deem a link as inappropriate (i.e. pornography, warez and anything illegal) it will be removed.

Links in Comments:  Familial Ramblings is setup to hold any comments with links in moderator queue so that they may be checked before being published, which may mean that your comment are not published right away.

No Personal Attack Comments Permitted:  Lively debate is encouraged on Familial Ramblings; however, personal attacks will not be tolerated.  You may disagree, question or argue with the content posted, but you may not attack me or any other commenters.  Failure to respect me or fellow commenters on this blog may result in your comments being removed and your access to this blog revoked.

You Are Responsible:  All comments within this blog are the responsibility of the commenter, not the blog owner, administrator, contributor, editor, or author. By submitting a comment on our blog, you agree that the comment content is your own, and to hold this site, Familial Ramblings, and all subsidiaries and representatives harmless from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability.

Trackbacks:  All trackbacks will be treated in-line with our Comments Policy.
