The Procrastination Queen Returns!

That’s right; procrastination has visited me once again, meaning I’ve waited until last minute to get my work done.  So what does that mean?  That means that I’ve officially grounded myself from Familial Ramblings until all of my work is completed.  I’m happy to report that I have one paper done, but I still have two papers to go, one of which is a research paper.  So it is with a heavy heart to say that I have to put off actually making a drool-worthy (because I know you all drool when you read what I have to say) post for a couple of more days.  I promise that I will make it up to you guys somehow, even if that means posting every day for an entire week to make up for my absence.   In either case, I hope that you can all forgive me for my sudden absence, I will be back as soon as I possibly can.

Staying Calm: How do you do It?

I have to admit, as of late I’ve been feeling extremely overwhelmed with things that I have to get done and just with general, everyday life woes.  A reader recently suggested I write a blog post about how to stay calm and I feel as if this is the perfect time to write such a post because I’m experiencing a lot of anxiety so I’ve been working on methods to keep myself calm, cool and collected in different situations.  So, let’s take a look at some methods I’ve been using to stay calm and then we’ll talk about what you do to stay calm. Interviewed You

An Interview with Felicia

Good morning/afternoon/evening (depending on where you’re located) readers!  I have some very exciting news to share with you, but I’m sure you’ve already guessed what it is if you’ve read the title.  That’s right, the one and only Felicia of Familial Ramblings has been interviewed!  I was approached on a website that I frequent by Max Pen, the creator of Interviewed You, a website dedicated to interviewing a variety of people–from website owners to bloggers to interesting people (apparently I fall into one or more of those categories).  I was flattered to say the least because I thought, “Who would ever want to interview lil ol’ me?”  It’s not an everyday occurrence, at least not for me anyway.  Either way, it’s obvious that I agreed to the interview, but I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you a bit more about the interview, so sit back, relax and let’s get started. snow

Snow in July?

Have you ever heard of snow falling in July?  Maybe in the really cold regions of the world, but not here in the USA, at least that I know of.  However, I’ve accomplished something that I never thought I would accomplish and therefore, it will snow.  You all remember reading my ‘Not in 2012’ post don’t you?  If not, let me jog your memory a bit.  This post consisted of a list of things that happened back in 2011 that I did NOT want to repeat in 2012.  On my last update ‘Looking Back at Not in 2012’ I had managed to accomplish avoiding and improving on some of the things that I had listed; however, there were many I had not.  I want to take a moment to look at one item in particular:  #5 Procrastinate Much?
