50 Teeth

You may be wondering where I got off to considering I generally post on Fridays about one thing or another.  Well, here’s what happened.  On Thursday morning I had three of my wisdom teeth removed, which caused excruciating pain.  The medication they put me on made me extremely drowsy and not entirely with it, so I decided it would probably be in everyone’s best interest that I not try to make a post that makes any logical sense.  But I’m back!  Still a bit sore, but here I am ready to give you a new post!  I apologize that this isn’t going to be super long considering my meds are starting to kick in which means I’m falling asleep at the computer…again…but I’ll do my best!

I realized recently that back on Wednesday I made my 50th post here on Familial Ramblings.  I have to admit that I never thought that I would get this far with my blog for a couple of reasons.  One of the main reasons being I didn’t think that I’d have enough time to keep up with it with everything that goes on in my life.  But it is because of my readers that I was pushed to make time in my schedule and really put more effort than I originally thought I would put into this blog to make it one people want to come back to.  If it wasn’t for all of you, my readers, I don’t think that Familial Ramblings would be here today.

So, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for sticking with me and with Familial Ramblings.  I hope that I can continue to provide you with informative and interesting posts that I hope are also helpful.  I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all of you.

  1. I know that your teeth were really bothering you. At least it’s all over now! :) My wisdom teeth are undoubtedly all rotten, and part of one has actually broken off. I should probably get them pulled at some point…

    • Thanks for putting up with me those few days, I know I was probably a pain in the butt with all my complaining! I’m glad they’re better now, though I don’t think they’re completely healed up just yet, that will take more time. Ugh, my husband’s been complaining about his wisdom teeth too lately, so I’m afraid his might have to come out soon too. Don’t let yours get too bad, they can become really painful!

  2. You know what, some people have got that pain for more than a week, and its got straight to their heart too. It pained and hurt them so much. So consider yourself lucky for hurting only for “a while”.

    • I’ve never heard of anyone’s pain from their wisdom teeth out going “straight to their heart.” Have you read this somewhere, can you provide a source for that? It’d be an interesting read. I’ve been in pain for about a week (a week today come to think of it), but it’s slowly going away, thankfully.

  3. My goodness, poor you, I had one of my wisdom tooth removed too and it has caused me much pain too. It lasted for about a day. I couldn’t eat anything solid, just soups and ice cream and etc.

      • I wish so for you too… because the excruciating pain, as you put it in your article, can last for about more than 1 day or more than 2 days even.

        • Yeah, the pain is (thankfully) finally going away. It took quite some time though, which is unfortunate (almost a week).

        • How did you take it away? With ice on your teeth or what? Thats what I did, I put ice on my cheeks, to lessen the hurt and the infection. And then I ate soley and only ice cream and cold liquid foods, to relieve my pain.

        • Since I had three out, they gave me medication for the pain at first. After awhile the pain just starts going away like any other pain.
